What does the Rainforest Alliance Do?
The Rainforest Alliance works with people whose livelihoods depend on the land, helping them transform how they grow food, harvest wood and host travellers. We’re proud to share that Coffee House Lane has been awarded the Origin Green Gold Membership in 2021,2023,2025 and now 2026, recognising our continued commitment to sustainability and the progress we are making towards our environmental and social sustainability goals.
Origin Green is Ireland’s national food and drink sustainability programme, bringing together businesses across the entire food and beverage supply chain to drive meaningful and measurable change. Through the programme, participating companies set clear sustainability targets and demonstrate ongoing progress across areas such as energy efficiency, responsible sourcing, waste reduction, packaging and community engagement.
Achieving Gold Membership is an important milestone for Coffee House Lane and reflects the dedication of our team to continually improving how we operate. Sustainability is an ongoing journey, and we are committed to building on this achievement by finding new ways to reduce our environmental impact while continuing to deliver high-quality coffee.
Building a fair and sustainable Industry
The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) is a trade association built on foundations of openness, inclusivity, and the power of shared knowledge. SCA’s purpose is to foster global coffee communities to support activities to make coffee a more sustainable, equitable, and thriving activity for the whole value chain. From coffee farmers to baristas and roasters, membership spans the globe, encompassing every element of the coffee value chain. The SCA acts as a unifying force within the specialty coffee industry and works to make coffee better by raising standards worldwide through a collaborative and progressive approach. Dedicated to building an industry that is fair, sustainable, and nurturing for all, the SCA draws on years of insights and inspiration from the specialty coffee community.
