Kenya AA Samburu Estate – 227g
Grown at elevations higher than 1748 metres above sea level, Kenya AA is considered to be one of the world’s finest premium gourmet coffees.
The high plateaus of Kenya produce coffee beans with a full body and rich, strong, flavour with a very pleasant acidity. The flagrant aroma also has floral tones, with a winey finish/aftertaste that also has citrus and berry overtones.
The biggest screen size in the Kenya coffee grading system is AA, which means the coffee bean is just a little more than one-fourth inch in diameter.
This Coffee is processed through the wet method. Red ripe cherry is harvested from the fields. This is then disc-pulped immediately (within 6-8 hours of harvest) and fermented to breakdown the mucilage. When fermentation is complete the parchment is washed with clean water, graded and spread onto raised beds for drying. While sun drying all defective beans are removed by hand.
